a message from the pastor

To the Falmouth Baptist Church Family;

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  The past year has been filled with events that will be remembered for generations. Events that shook and tested our faith and reminded us what is truly important in life; church, family, relationships, and freedom. Events that interrupted those daily routines in which we found safety and security and drove us instead to seek our security and well-being in Christ. Because of the events we have experienced in the past year,  most of us are now gripped with anxiety, trepidation and fear. Thus, it is so important we remember Paul’s exhortation to the Christians living in Corinth:

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.     2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Thank you so much for your continued faithful financial giving to the church. I will continue teaching the weekly SS lesson each Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM. All you need is to join us on our Facebook page for this time of Bible study. I am so grateful for our church staff who is working in this difficult time to make our times of worship as “normal” as possible.

I pray God’s blessings on your family in the days to come.

Your Pastor,

Leslie Powers
