Coronavirus update

Prayer Service has been rescheduled.

ATTENTION! Unfortunately, due to recent events and to ensure the safety of our congregation, the prayer service scheduled for 7 pm this Thursday has been rescheduled. Those who would like to participate in the prayer service are encouraged to join us in the sanctuary from 10 to 10:30 this Sunday morning, June 7, as we pray for healing for our nation, wisdom for our leaders, and encouragement for ourselves. Morning worship will begin as usual at 11:00 AM. Thank you for your understanding.

We are so pleased to be having worship in the sanctuary each Sunday. Until further notice, there will be NO Sunday School, Children's Church, or Nursery Services. We realize that not everyone will feel comfortable coming to the sanctuary, so worship will also continue to be streamed through Facebook and YouTube.

Effective as of May 29, as ordered by our Governor, masks are now mandatory in all public buildings, including our sanctuary. The only exception are children under ten, and those people with a medical condition.

The consequence for not following the governors order is not clear. At one point he stated publicly violating the order will not be a criminal offense, but in a written order indicates a violation would be a Class One Misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in prison and a $2500 fine.

Having done some research, I have come across a set of guidelines, put together by a law firm, which I have found helpful. These guidelines will be posted at the church and will be in effect for Falmouth Baptist Church as we gather for worship.

PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY and respond accordingly. Guidelines for Masks in public places.

For those coming to the sanctuary, please refer to the folliowing guidelines.

* The main and rear entrances will open at 10:45 am.

* Each person entering the sanctuary will have their temperature taken.

* Please keep every other pew open, as well as maintain a six-foot separation from non-family members.

* Offering plates will be at each entrance to avoid having to pass them during service.

* There will be no bulletin and no hymnals will be used.

* Because our sanctuary seats 350 people, we can only allow 175 people (50% capacity) to gather for worship.

* Concerning the governor's mandate on wearing masks, please refer to the following document.

Stay safe, and we look forward to worshipping with you each Sunday morning.

Join Pastor Powers for an online bible study on our Facebook Page each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. The study will be done through Facebook live.

The church office will remain closed until further notice. However, Wayne Mills, Dolly and our pastor will be at church on Wednesday mornings, and various times over the weekend, to collect the mail, and to deposit and write checks. This will be done to encourage FBC members to continue mailing their tithes and offerings to the church. Other giving options are: Online Giving, giving by text, and giving through the "Abundant Giving" app. Click here for more information. We thank you for your continued generous giving, as this is critical to the church's financial stability.

During this unsettling time it will be important for our deacons to keep in touch with their families on a regular basis to keep the FBC family aware of ministry needs.
